Built out of frustration, shared out of love for the game
Sportrs was born out of pure frustration. I organised a team myself via WhatsApp and drowned in lost messages, unfindable arrangements and attendance no one kept track of. There had to be something better — so I started building it myself.
Keeping it running costs real money — around €1,500 a year: servers, storage for your photos and videos, the sign-in links via SMS/WhatsApp, AI for the match reports — plus countless hours of development. Right now I pay those costs entirely out of my own pocket. Even so, I want to keep Sportrs free for every club and every team — because good tools to organise your sport shouldn't be behind a paywall, in my view.
